Is It Important to Stage Your Richmond Home Before Selling?

It is incredibly important to professionally stage your home before putting it on the market. When we stage homes, we see immediate results. That’s why we started to pay a professional stager a few years ago.
According to stagedhomes.com, homes that are professionally staged sell for 17% more than homes that aren’t staged. They also sell in an average of 11 days.

Staging your home is a game changer.
If you want to pull more equity out of your home and stand out on the marketplace, staging is the way to do it. Of course, you actually begin staging your home the day you move in. It’s incredibly important that you keep up with maintenance on your home.
Once you’re ready to put your home on the market, there are three key things to look at when staging your home:
1. Paint. Paint gets you a huge return on investment. Update the interior and exterior of your home by simply adding a fresh coat of paint.
2. Flooring. If you have carpet that is old and worn out, replace it. Buyers don’t want to worry about that. You want your home to be move-in ready.
3. Landscaping. The first thing a buyer sees is your front yard. By making sure your landscaping is neat and attractive, you show buyers that you have taken care of the home both inside and out.
